SEASONS' GREETINGS

It is that time of year when I take time to say:  I hope you have a joyous Holiday and are able to share it with friends and family.  I wish the best for you in 2010!!     May there be good health, lots of biking, lots of claying, lots of feline hugs; lots of k-9 kisses and lots of chelonian sightings.

Recently Commissioned work

It seems that I have been doing a lot of creating lately, but somehow the pictures have not been taken and posted.

Here is a picture of some small boxes that I was recently comissioned to do.

Each box is done in a grandchild's favorite color, and is adorned by something that represents a hobby, or a favorite thing of the child's.

At a guild meeting, our project was Ancient Metal Technique by Laurie Prophater - a tutorial in the winter 06/07 Polymer Cafe.
This set was an off-shoot made from some of the scraps left after doing the project.

VERMONTREAL

I am back from a long weekend bike trip to Montreal. Here we are - ready to go.  A group of about 100 people biked from South Hero, Vt to Montreal. It was a wonderful trip, in spite of the fact that it rained - no - POURED all day Saturday as we biked the 40 miles from St Jean to Montreal. The worse part, however was that we were on the gravel bike path, so needless to say we were mudpies when we arrived at the hotel. We had to be hosed off.

Sunday was a beautiful day to bike, cool, cloudy, so no sunburn - we joined 30,000 + cyclists and did the Tour de L'ile: a 50 km ride around Mountreal. It was good.

So now it is time to get back to work on some clay. Stop back to see some of  my bike pieces.

I have been busy getting ready for our first show of the year, which is Saturday, but thot i should take a minute to log in. The weather is getting nice here, so I will be 'out of the studio' more - riding my bicycle - there just are not enuff hours in the day.
Let's see, time for a new pic:
